Jain food catering
Pure vegetarian and Jain catering for every occasion
We cater vegetarian food only, and menus can be prepared to Jain and no onion, no garlic requirements on request. Part of a menu or all of it, for weddings, religious functions, housewarmings, birthdays and family gatherings.
Menus planned around what you tell us
Requirements differ from one family to the next, so we start by asking rather than assuming. You tell us what should be left out, we confirm that list back to you in writing, and the menu is built from there.
A good part of what we cater in Gwalior is prepared this way, for whole functions and for marked sections inside a larger menu.
From that point it is an ordinary catering conversation: what the occasion is, how many people are coming, when they are eating and which cuisines suit your guests.
What we plan around
Jain preferences
You set out what should be excluded, and we confirm it back to you before anything is finalised.
No onion, no garlic
Dishes prepared without onion and garlic, and without root vegetables where your requirements call for it.
Event type
A reception, a puja and a family lunch each suit different dishes and a different service format.
Guest count
Quantities and the number of dishes planned for the people actually coming.
Meal timing
Morning ceremonies, afternoon functions and evening dinners each suit a different menu.
Cuisine preference
One regional style or a balanced combination across several, depending on your guests.

Why choose us
What you can expect when you ask for a Jain menu
A vegetarian kitchen, not a mixed one
We cater vegetarian food only. There is no non-vegetarian menu anywhere in our operation.
Your requirements, confirmed in writing
What is excluded is agreed and written down before the event rather than discussed on the day.
Kept separate through service
Where Jain dishes sit alongside a wider menu, they are prepared separately and given their own serving utensils.
Labelled so guests can see
Jain and no onion, no garlic dishes are labelled at the counter, so nobody has to ask before eating.
Menu planning for any function
Weddings, religious functions, housewarmings, birthdays and family gatherings, at a range of guest numbers.
More than one regional style
North Indian, Gujarati, Rajasthani and South Indian preparations, or a combination across them.

Finalise the menu
We suggest options that work within those requirements and adjust them with you until the menu is right.

We cater your celebration
We arrive, set up and serve to the agreed schedule, with everything labelled at the counter.
Jain catering questions
If your question is not here, ask us directly. We would rather answer it before you book than leave you guessing.
Read all FAQsDo you provide Jain catering?
Yes. We are a pure vegetarian caterer, and menus can be prepared to Jain requirements on request. Tell us what your function needs when you enquire and we will confirm what we can arrange.
What does your Jain food exclude?
We prepare Jain menus to the requirements you specify. Commonly this means no onion and no garlic, and no root vegetables such as potato, carrot, beetroot, radish or ginger. Requirements vary between families and communities, so we ask you to tell us exactly what should be excluded rather than assuming, and we confirm that list back to you before the event.
Can the entire menu be Jain rather than just part of it?
Yes. A complete menu, from welcome drinks through to desserts, can be prepared without onion, garlic and root vegetables. Many religious functions and housewarmings are catered this way.
Is Jain food kept separate from the rest of the menu?
Yes. Where Jain or no onion, no garlic dishes are part of a wider menu, they are prepared separately and kept separate through service, with their own serving utensils.
Can any dish be prepared as a Jain version?
Many can, but not all. Some preparations depend on ingredients that would be excluded, and substituting them changes the dish rather than adapting it. If there is a particular dish you want, ask us about it and availability can be discussed while finalising your menu.
Can we change the dishes in a menu or package?
Yes. Packages are a starting point rather than a fixed product. Dishes can be swapped, courses added or removed, and spice levels adjusted. If you have a particular dish in mind that is not listed, ask us about it.
What types of functions do you cater?
Weddings and engagements, birthdays, housewarming and griha pravesh functions, corporate events, religious functions and ceremonies, festival meals and family gatherings. If your occasion is not on that list, ask us about it.
How far in advance should I book catering?
As early as you can, particularly for weddings and for dates during festival and wedding season, when calendars fill up quickly. For smaller functions, shorter notice is often workable. Send us your date and we will tell you straight away whether we can take it.
