Housewarming Catering
Housewarming catering for your new home
A housewarming usually combines a ceremony with a meal, often in the home itself rather than at a venue. We plan around the space you actually have and the timings your ceremony follows.
Catering that works in a home, not just a hall
Catering in a house is a different job from catering in a banquet hall. Counter space, water, power and where guests can comfortably sit all shape what is realistic, so we check those before we finalise anything.
Timing matters just as much. Tell us when the puja is scheduled and we will plan preparation and service backwards from it, so the meal follows the ceremony rather than competing with it. Complete menus can be prepared without onion, garlic and root vegetables where the occasion calls for it.
Griha pravesh functions are a regular part of our work in Gwalior, and are often catered entirely without onion and garlic.
How we approach housewarming catering

Sattvic and traditional preparations suited to the occasion, including full thali formats.
Catering inside homes
We work in residential kitchens and compact spaces, bringing what the setup needs with us.
Ceremony timings respected
Service is planned around the puja timing so the meal follows the ritual.
Jain and no onion, no garlic menus
A complete menu can be prepared without onion, garlic or root vegetables on request.

Worth knowing
Kitchen and power access
Home catering depends on available counter space, water and power. We check this before finalising the menu.
Where guests will sit
Where seating is limited, rotating or seated service usually works better than a buffet queue.
Auspicious timings
Tell us the muhurat and we will plan preparation and service around it.

Housewarming Catering questions
If your question is not here, ask us directly. We would rather answer it before you book than leave you guessing.
Read all FAQsWhat do you need from the venue?
Typically access for setup ahead of service, space for the counters or serving area, and water and power where cooking happens on site. For home catering we will check kitchen space and access before finalising the menu.
Can the entire menu be Jain rather than just part of it?
Yes. A complete menu, from welcome drinks through to desserts, can be prepared without onion, garlic and root vegetables. Many religious functions and housewarmings are catered this way.
Is there a minimum number of guests?
We cater for a wide range of event sizes, from family gatherings through to large functions. Tell us how many people you are expecting and we will let you know what format works best at that size.
How far in advance should I book catering?
As early as you can, particularly for weddings and for dates during festival and wedding season, when calendars fill up quickly. For smaller functions, shorter notice is often workable. Send us your date and we will tell you straight away whether we can take it.
