Family Function Catering
Catering for family gatherings of every size
Not every occasion needs a banquet hall. For anniversaries, naming ceremonies, reunions and festival meals, we plan menus sized properly for the number of people actually coming.
Sized for the gathering you are actually having
Smaller functions are often quoted as scaled-down wedding menus, which usually means too many dishes in quantities that do not suit the group. We would rather plan a shorter menu properly than stretch a long one thin.
These occasions also tend to happen at home or in a small hall, so setup, seating and service format matter as much as the food. Where some guests need Jain or no onion, no garlic preparations, those are kept separate and labelled.
Smaller family gatherings in Gwalior, frequently at home, where the kitchen and the access decide as much as the menu does.
How we approach family function catering
Sized for smaller groups
Menus planned for realistic quantities rather than scaled-down versions of a wedding spread.
At home or at a venue
We cater in homes, community halls and small venues, adapting the setup to the space.
Regional menus
South Indian, North Indian, Gujarati and Rajasthani menus, or a combination across them.
Simple to organise
One point of contact, a clear menu and a confirmed service time.

- Family reunions and get-togethers
- Retirement celebrations
- Festival meals at home
- Small private functions
Worth knowing
Smaller menus often work better
For very small groups a shorter menu done well beats a full spread. We will say so if that is the case.
Home logistics
Parking, lift access and kitchen space all affect setup when catering at home.
Mixed preferences
Where some guests need Jain or no onion, no garlic food, those preparations are kept separate and labelled.

Family Function Catering questions
If your question is not here, ask us directly. We would rather answer it before you book than leave you guessing.
Read all FAQsIs there a minimum number of guests?
We cater for a wide range of event sizes, from family gatherings through to large functions. Tell us how many people you are expecting and we will let you know what format works best at that size.
Can we combine different regional cuisines in one menu?
Yes, and most events do. A single menu commonly draws on South Indian, North Indian and Gujarati or Rajasthani preparations together. We will keep the combination balanced so the meal works as a whole.
What do you need from the venue?
Typically access for setup ahead of service, space for the counters or serving area, and water and power where cooking happens on site. For home catering we will check kitchen space and access before finalising the menu.
How is catering priced?
Catering is usually quoted per guest, and the figure depends on the menu you choose, the number of guests, the service format, the date and the venue location. Because those vary so much between events, we quote per enquiry rather than publishing a fixed price list.
